Hi! My name is Deitra and I am doing what I LOVE — photographing amazing people and creating wonderful headshots and portraits for them!

I’m originally from Washington, DC (born and raised), and now live on the beautiful Mississippi Gulf Coast in Gulfport. My earliest introduction to photography was watching my dad take family pictures with his trusty Polaroid cameras (when his camera stopped working, he’d go buy another one). He purchased my first 35mm, SLR film camera for a college Photography course, and I’ve been hooked ever since.

I’ve always enjoyed photographing people the most. After moving to Gulfport to help my family (and making it safely through the COVID pandemic), I established Deitra L. Jackson Photography LLC to continue my love of the genres of portraiture.

My passion is showing people just how amazing they look through my eyes!
