My name is Deitra L. Jackson, and I’m a portrait and headshot photographer, living in beautiful Gulfport, Mississippi. I’m originally from Washington, DC where I grew up following my dad around whenever he picked up his trusty Polaroid camera. He eventually bought me my first SLR film camera for college.

I’ve been a professional, freelance photographer for over 30-years. I’ve photographed everything from portraits, to weddings; from protests in Lafayette Park, to motorcycle rallies (I rode a Suzuki GS500E for a while) and social events. Portraiture is my favorite genre because I love faces, and a portrait of someone can evoke precious memories of love, accomplishment, success, and milestones. I create work that becomes treasured keepsakes that will outlive me, and grace the tables and walls of your home.
